Baltimore GT, Day 1: in pictures

And the dice are rolling...
This year's Baltimore GT calculated points a little differently. Each mission awards 20 points based off of 3categories of objectives. Primary Objectives are 12 points, secondary are 5 and tertiary are 3. The missions also had some interesting objectives. Some had you claiming terrain pieces, or trying to kill off one of your own squads. Others gave out free preliminary bombardments.On the news front, I had interviews with some of the community relations guys. I’ll post those interviews in full later, but the big news is that they are concerned that the GTs are getting too big. Next year they want to make them smaller. About 100 people total so they will fit in a hotel. Correction: reduce them by 100 people (250 people total). Unfortunately they will not increase the number of GTs. So make sure you get your tickets early. There is a silver lining. They want to become more active in promoting and supporting non-GW events like Adepticon and Necronomicon. They are also looking at helping out several smaller events as well.

In the last few years people have started bringing more and more elaborate army displays. Some are so large that they have to be shipped in.
