SNEAK PEAK: Forgeworld World Eaters

Hey Guys, check out the latest coolness from Forgeworld:

~These guys make for a great follow-up to the earlier FW Death Guard models. I'm thinking the Death Korps of Krieg are going to run into some tough opposition in The Siege of Vraks: Part 2

Takin bets now! Who thinks Emperor's Children is next, or will it be Thousand Sons? I bet there's a ton of ppl waiting around for T-Sons Termies (mmmm 4+inv sv...)

as Ive been lead to believe, they're only doing World Eaters and Death Guard for the siege of Vraks Part 2, as they are the only ones involved in the Background.

Bleh, it missed out the top part fo my last post.

@ Jonathan:

Hate to break it to you , but as Ive been lead to believe, they're only doing World Eaters and Death Guard for the siege of Vraks Part 2, as they are the only ones involved in the Background.

well, I can't remember where, but I can remember reading something about Forge-World doing a full set of Legion conversion kits, so we'll hopefully not only see the Thousand Sons/Emperors Children, but the Undivided Legions as well.

the terminator looks sweet, but I'm pretty unimpressed with the chest plates of the berzerkers.

I agree with Beamo, the terminator looks good, the chest plates... *shrug*

The chests are rather bland...If I'd only wanted a Khorne emblem on my marine's chests, I'd file them down and freehand them. Termie looks good, though I'm vague on why he needs an Eye of Horus on his kneepad

Hmmm...

Nice, especially the power-armored one on the right, but I don't think these are as good as the Death Guard, sadly. I especially don't like that the terminator has 'head-wings' on his armor. Thems is for helmets, I sez.

(then again, I don't play either force, so what do my dumb opinions matter?)

Certainly the Emperor's Children could really benefit from this treatment the most now. Four different kits for the four cult legions is not out of the question at this point, we're halfway there already.

I am really looking forward to IA6. When is it due?

Is it just me or should them have combined those FW bitz with the current plastic Bezerkers?
... where are the Chain Axes?!

Only conversion kits. I would prefer totaly-sculpted miniatures, like the Death Korps of Krieg. The quality is too high to put it on bad plastic miniatures, imho.

Ah...? Does anyone else know that Khorne and berserkers are not World Eaters, they became them. Their not World Eaters, their followers of Khorne. Theres no "World Eaters" marks on them, just Chaos and Khorne. Their either Berzerkers or chaos with the mark of Khorne.

that's true on the termie, but the power armor ones do actually have WE legion emblems on their belt buckles.

overall less impressive than the death guard ones; hopefully they pull something special again with the EC.

I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that Vraks II was going to feature, Plaguemarines, Khorne Berzerkers and Alpha Legion...

I'll second the wish for complete kits rather than conversion kits, the main turn off for me when I look at the Renegade Militia is the plastic Cadian parts you have to use, and its the same with these CSM conversion kits... Its like cutting the face off the Mona Lisa and sticking it on a Lisa Simpson poster...

I have no doubt that the Terminators will have World Eater insignay on their shoulder pads. These are the real deal Traitor Legions coming to Vraks and not some pansy Renegade Space Marines.

Don't you guys know? Emp's Children and 1KSons armies are Apoc only now! (/sarcasm)

Umm... yeah, does anyone have a clue as to when IA6 is coming out?

I'm holding off on getting the Death Guard guys until IA6 is out, and a few in our group want to get some FW stuff as well. Combining orders is always cheaper... so I was wondering if anyone knew how long we'd be waiting for that book?

I'm really diggin' the helmets on the PA Zerkers.

They have Frakin' teeth!

IMNSHO They are drippin' with Awesome sauce!

Crap, it's gonna cost me a fortune to upgrade my 60 chaos termies and 120 Khorne beserkers to these bad boys...maybe i'll do a 30/60 split...I really dig 'em.

check the likeness of the GW khorne lord and the death guard term to the illustrations in the early 2000s csm codex. it would be quite cool if the slaanesh and tzeentch illustrations could be brought to life in model form.
also what about word bearer champions/chaplains and cultists

thousand sons terms could lead to alsorts of elaborate armour
