Apparently Fantasy Flight Games is hiring someone to run the Dark Heresy line.
Do you think you have what it takes? Check out the job posting here.
~ Its always nice to see them taking the time to hire someone with expertise in the universe, instead of just handing it off to an internal staffer.

Wow, that's kind of a low salary for something listed as a "senior position," and requiring published work as well as project management skills. That would be a cool job though... I hope they find a great candidate.
The RPG industry is not something one builds a career in if they want to make lots of money.
Send gav to the rescue. ;))
I think you could make more money working at say Wal-Mart, or Target, or McDonald's.
Very, very, very sad.
I just came here to say these same things. This is obviously something you do because you love the IP and want to make something that would matter (to this community anyway). They are asking for a very qualified person for a very low starting salary, though they did note that the pay could change based on qualifications. Perhaps FFG is just low-balling?
Damn US citizen only jobs... Otherwise I'd of been tempted to have a bash.
Sad fact is that aside from the "published" part, I meet all of those qualifications. Too bad; I'd love to de-flower my publishing virginity on FFG's payroll working on a 40K RPG. It'd be akin to a fat kid getting to work as a food taster in a candy factory. ^_^
I imagine when all is said and done, the writer can expect to make around 38k-42k yearly. I base this off of my experience as a technical writer. 28 would be for someone straight of of school, my estimate would be for someone with 2-4 years experience. Still kind of low, but incentives can be nice.
Even 40 would be a joke for what they are asking...
As for the "rpg business is not one in which people can expect to make money"...B.S.
Companies can low ball because gaming geeks are salivating to do the job for next to nothing. It's the same thing that happens in Pro Sports..
(Sadly, the guy you get for the cheap price is never the guy you need to do the job)
