Datasheets from the cutting room floor

Seeing the plethora of Apoc love for Chaos reminded me of some of the apoc datasheets we had worked on but were cut for one reason or another. I decided to give you a peek behind the curtains, so to speak, and show off some of the WitchHunter datasheets that landed on the cutting room floor.

The first one we have is the Animus. A Culexus Assassin is connected to a device that amplifies their abilities. WH Inquisitors use these to drive out psychers in the local population. It’s a simple model to build, a Penitent engine on a chimera frame. Rules wise, 12/10/10 with 2 hvy bolters. No psychic powers within X inches, reroll successful psychic tests within Y inches and psychers suffer perils of the warp at the beginning of every turn they are within within Z (probably 6) inches. Mkerr brought up the point that the Officio Assassinorium would not hand over a Culexus to be permanently strapped into a machine, even for the inquisition.

The second one is the Sacellum. Basically, a Sister’s rolling cathedral. 14/13/13 with a demolisher cannon. One faith test per turn may be rerolled by a unit within line of sight of the Sacellum. First off, the photoshop for this one looks bad. Secondly, for its size, it doesn’t have a great affect on the field.

Another one that never even got a photoshop or a name was for the Sisters Repentia. It grants them fleet-of-foot as long as they are in line of sight of it. The other option was to allow them to choose to holy rage or not. We were even thinking of making it a structure (immobile) rather than a vehicle. End the end; we realized it was just an excuse to give some cool looking models a useful boost.

What do you think, should we resurrect some of these ideas? How should we change them? What other/new units would you suggest? Remember, they must fit thematically with the Inquisition/sisters, not be overpowered, and ideally be a simple conversion of an existing model or models.
