40K Conundrum: Falling Back while Embarked Edition?

So lets take a look at this week’s sticky rules situation and let you guys and gals make the call.  This one actually came up in a game and we all kind of scratched out chins for a bit…

Let set up the situation:

1) Unit embarks in a transport and fires weapons from the fireports the same turn.
2) Unit suffers 25% casualties from gets hot casualties (or other rare means)
3) Unit fails their morale test

What happens?

Relevant sections to consider are the rules for how to handle units falling back, and the rules governing how units can embark and disembark (within the same turn).  Have at it.  We had this happen with an IG plasma command squad, but small CSMs and other such units can have it happen as well.
