Welcome to another “This Week in 40K Podcasting,”

Here is this week’s top 5!

The 11th Company – Episode 57

Highlights: This week, the Myrtle Beach Wild Bunch opens up with live game coverage of the epic battle between Neil with the Tau Empire versus Steven and his Dark Eldar. Pat interviewed Yakface of INAT and TastyTaste of Blood of Kittens. Next up was list building where they built Dark Eldar and Tau competitive lists. Dave chimed in for 40UK and interviewed the best Tau player at the Throne of Skulls. Pat also interviewed Mr. Dandy of Mr. Dandy Miniatures.com. They then move on with something they usually open the show up with, “This week in gaming” where they talk about this week’s games. Ciaran from the Overlords stops in to close out the show talk about Hellions from the Dark Eldar Codex.

Opinion: Overall, this was another good show from the 11th Company. Neil’s voice was a bit off because he was sick, which I am surprised he was able to game with. I really liked the live game coverage; it was fun to listen to. And the Dark Eldar theme to the show was pretty interesting as well, great work gang!

The Eternal Warriors – Episode 12 ***Explicit Warning***

Highlights: The boys open up their show with some miscellaneous stuff which included news, hobby, kid’s game design, and some off 40K topics, but Dave did talk a little about his alternate vehicle damage chart. They also talk about their mold making experiments and how that turned out. Next up was a review of Army Transports, ranging from home made to top end gaming bags. The third segment was a GW vs Warmachine argument over army books and Rich talks about a new list for him.

Opinion: Overall, this was a great episode of TEW, the mold making tutorial was outstanding and really makes me want to start my own. I totally loved the review of the Army Transports as I am in the market for something for my Space Wolves; I highly recommend this for anyone!

The Overlords – Episode 37 ***Explicit Warning***

Highlights: This week the boys have a full house with some extras in tow and a 4 hour show! They open up with some news, what they have been up to and games played, or have not been playing. Next up was one of my favorite segments, room 40001 where they vote out things from 40K, like Obliterates. Next up was the Meat Locker, and this week they discuss Kill Points vs Victory Points. They introduce a new segment; Dagmire’s Tavern, where they discuss how to be a better player. They close out the show with Dean’s Dimension part three of the Chaos coverage including the gods and daemons.

Opinion: Although a bit long for the Overlords, this was an outstanding episode! The segments went from good, to amazing and I am getting my 40K fluff education at the University of Dean’s Dimension! I am really looking forward to the Tyranid segment! Great work guys, I recommend this podcast everyone out there, if you are not listening to these guys you really are missing out!

40K Radio – Episode 16 ***Explicit Warning***

Highlights: This week, Romeo and the boys open up with what they have been doing and some other fun stuff; there is some non-40K stuff here. Next up was the news, covering second wave Dark Eldar, Armorcast, and Battlefront Miniatures. In Rik’s Black Library Corner he covers Insignium Astartes and Soul Hunter, and he goes on a great rant afterwords. Next up was an exclusive interview with Graham McNeill, of Black Library and GW fame! After an amazing interview, Romeo has his own “Hobby Hot Spot” segment, covering water effects this week, and the “Kinghammer Tactica” covering models in 40K and some tactics for them. Following that was “In the Cross-hairs”, covering White Dwarf magazine and how to improve it.

Opinion: Overall, this was a good podcast. The Graham McNeill interview was outstanding and is worth listening to the show for, I highly recommend it. I am not sure what is up with the full song music bumpers lately, and I certainly could have done without the Justin Bieber! That has me scratching my head? But otherwise, a good podcast, great work guys!

Imperial Vox Cast – Episode 46 ***Explicit Warning***

Highlights: This week Bill is joined by Tor and Silas and they open up the show with what they have been doing lately. Next up was the main segment of the show, a review of the IVC Tournament that they just ran and how it turned out. They give a run down of the lists and how they could improve the format for next time.

Opinion: This week was a short show but still interesting. It makes me wish I lived in their area because this tournament sounded pretty cool. Another good podcast, I recommend it for anyone!
