Welcome to another “This Week in 40K Podcasting, Here is this week’s top 5!

The Eternal Warriors – Episode 14 ***Explicit Warning***

Highlights: This week the boys are short Dave but open up talking about what they have done this week which included games at Dave’s, resin casting, and painting. Rich talks about his state of 40K and a bit about the Summer of Flyers. In the next segment, the guys talk about where do you game? At the store, at home or at the club? They talk about the pluses and minuses of each and have a good conversation about home gaming!

Opinion: I really liked this podcast; I myself have become a home gamer mostly due to the fact that I have three kids and one on the way. But I really do like meeting new gamers and playing different armies as well. I was right there with them on their stand to move more to the home game. Good Work guys!

The Overlords – Episode 41

Highlights: This week the Overlords have a full house and open up with some new Grey Knights stuff and Forgeworld News. They move on to talk some local and Overlords club news, and finish off with what they have been doing this week. Next up was Inquisitor Steve’s Round Table and this week the guys discuss Apocalypse and weather or not it is worth playing. Next up was an interview with Collin from Salute 2011! They talk a bit about this massive Con in the UK. Lastly, they go back to Dagmire’s Tavern where Dan from the Eternal Warriors continues with his campaign talks.

Opinion: Overall, another good podcast from the Overlords. I am really liking the campaign talk and it is really making me want to get one started at home! Good work gang!

The 11th Company – Episode 62

Highlights: This week is another 4-hour mega-sode so dig in! They open up with “This Week in Gaming” and this was a little more fun and less games then usual. Pat interviewed Matt Weeks from Adepticon and they talked missions. Dave from 40UK reports in from the UK GT 2011 and they give a review of their tournament experience! In the CIC, Farseer and Neil talk about the the Dark Angels Pyskers including Ezekiel. They move on to talk about the buildings rule in the main rulebook and the lack of them in the game. Next up, Ciaran from the Overlords continues his anti-Vendetta campaign and talks about the Hellhound. Finally, to close out the show the gang builds some gross IG ‘Ard Boyz list, and an Eldar list for Bill from the Gamers Lounge.
Opinion: I really liked this episode, it had a little more of a silly feel to it, but overall it was still everything I have come to expect from the 11th Company. Hearing from the UK Grand Tournament was pretty interesting as well. Good work gang!

The Heroic 28s – Episode 8

Highlights: This week the guys open up with what they have been doing this week in gaming. In their second segment, the crew gives their overview of Codex Tyranids. This is a very detailed overview from a competitive stand! In their third segment, they have a tactical discussion about the deployment phase.
Opinion: I have to say that this has been by far my favorite episode of their show yet. The really dug into the Tyranid Codex and gave some pluses and some bit minuses to the dex. The Third segment on deployment was really tactical as well, and I really enjoyed it! Good work guys!

Life After the Cover Save – Episode 23 ***Explicit Warning***

Highlights: The boys open up with their usual off color fun before getting to what they have been doing in the last two weeks, including the end of their tournament. In the next segment, Blake talks a little about their up coming trip to Adepticon. They then move on to their second go around with their upcoming event. This was again a pretty free form conversation about how they will run their upcoming tournament. Their last segment was lost to the warp due to some technical difficulties.

Opinion: Overall, yet another episode of LAtCS where I laugh so hard I could pee myself. I personally, liked the free form discussion and the game talk in this episode. I am sorry we missed the third segment though, but sometimes that is how the Warp works. Great work guys! Get your T-Shirt orders in now!
