Hey everyone, Duke (The elusive) back again to bring you the latest info about Feast of Blades 2013.

This year Feast is bigger and better than ever!  While we have grown in 40k, Warmachine and Infinity have blown off the doors!  Here are some of the great things you can look forward to at Feast 2013.

MORE THAN A TOURNAMENT!
Feast of Blades is a gaming convention, we celebrate the love of gaming.  We have events for competitive and casual players alike.  Most of all we want you to leave with a deeper love of our shared hobby than before you got here.  So find and tourney, play in side games, do demos and meet VIPs and games designers or just play video games and pub-quizes.  It’s your weekend, come celebrate with us!

Here is an idea of a few of the happenings this year.

*SCHEDULE

CLUB FEAST: Friday night at Feast is probably one of the best nights of gaming in the world (We’re a little biased).  Every demo you’ve ever wanted is available and some are even run by the designers themselves (This year Infinity and Malifaux are sending out their head designers!!!)  We have a DJ spinning beats till the wee hours of the morning and free events and tournaments all night long.  If you haven’t been to Feast on Friday night, you’re missing out.  This year we are extending the party into Sat night where we will have the “Feast at Feast” we will roll out the hotel’s premier restaurant and give you a very affordable all you can eat buffet or limited menu of awesomeness (details TBD), while persons of interest and you’re best friends swap war stories. Afterwards head into the main gaming hall for a Steve-jackson fest, where dozens of his games await your pleasure! Or just chill and watch a movie on the projector.

Side games: Sick of 40k? Try the demos and side games we have running all weekend by dedicated Feast staff.

THE HOTEL:
Last year we blew the doors off our old hotel, this year we have significantly upgraded, and still kept the price cheap for attendees!  The Hyatt Regency DTC is now the new home of Feast of Blades and it has been  freshly renovated.  This hotel is very nice and we are very happy to work with them. Remember, that GT’s only succeed by attendees buying hotel rooms. Without that we can’t operate.  So if your coming, please use the link below (Don’t go to Expedia, Travelocity, etc. cause we don’t get credit for those rooms). Also remember, you don’t pay for your hotel till you check out, so if your thinking about coming make the reservation…You don’t want to be left out in the Colorado cold 😉 As a note: As of this post only ~70 rooms remain, and after they are gone we can’t guarantee a room or the special rate!

Warmachine: Just a quick glance at the schedule this year will show how many events we are running for Warmachine, but here is an idea.  This is going to be a war machine mega-weekend!  Privateer Press is also sending us some one-of-a-kind goodies for us to give away for FOB 2013 attendees, so a big thanks to them!

  • Iron Arena
  • Hardcore
  • 42pts tourney
  • Divide and Conquer
  • Who’s the Boss
  • Flanks for the memories
  • And much more!

Infinity GT: The head rules designer and the crew who write the official Infinty Wiki page will be at Feast this year running an official tournament. Feast is the only convention in the Western hemisphere with this honor so don’t miss out on a once in a lifetime opportunity!!!

Infinity weekend: We have a full weekend filled with quick and easy Infinity events like “Zombies,” and “infinity hunger games,” as well as a “TAG rumble.” Not to mention the super fun “LIFE-SIZE INFINITY,” we will have running in the foyer!

Malifaux: Head designer Mack Martin will be out running a Malifaux tournament Friday night as well as answering all your questions about the latest and greatest happenings for Malifaux.  Mack is a ‘must-meet,’ person in the gaming world, one night of game theory discussion with him will flip your head upside down.

Fantasy:  Back by popular demand! This year we will be running a world class Fantasy event.  Get your square bases ready!

40k 1500 Single elimination: Yes, you read that right… This year we will be running a single elimination tournament and the WINNER GETS A WARHOUND TITAN!!!  Entry is $15 and if you lose the first round you can play in the Narrative or Team event for FREE! Why not!?

40k Open GT: One of our most popular events, a weekend of a casual play tournament. If you want don’t want face-smashing-mega-lists and “WACC,” players this is for you.  Have competition, without the high-level intensity of the Invitational. Forgeworld “40k approved,” allowed, double force org, 2000pts.

40k Narrative: Mega battles, themed battles, highly customized terrain.  What isn’t to love about a weekend of laughter and models the size of children!?  This year we are crafting some one-of-a-kind scenery just for this event and it is going to be awesome!

40k Doubles: We won’t be selling assets this year, but the greatness that is the team tournament is back! This year we will still be raising money for wounded warrior, but it will be based on TICKET SALES plus whatever else we can raise, so get your dice and your checkbooks ready for a good cause.  The team tourney starts one round after the spoils of war, so if you get knocked out you can transfer over for FREE!

40k Invitational and International Qualifiers: Yes, the best players around the world will be competing in hundreds of qualifiers including thousands of players for the right to play at the Feast of Blades Invitational, which has been called “one of the most competitive events in the world.” (If your store isn’t a qualifier then they can contact us by following this LINK).  Do you have what it takes to stand with giants?

Magic the Gathering: I’ll keep this part short, but suffice it to say that we have added a Premier M:TG event in our second ballroom, if you have friends that are card gamers, bring them along to win great prizes and tons of cash!

BUCKET LIST TRIP!!! This year we have teamed up with Geek Nation Tours to do a beer-tasting and Wargaming Bucket list trip, come up early for almost a week of the world’s best beer and finish it off with a night at the GREAT AMERICAN BEER FESTIVAL! Then head on over to Feast for a weekend of gaming… What more could you ask for!?

GEEK NATION TOURS INFO

We work very hard all year to provide a great weekend that we are jealous we can’t participate in.  We would love to see you and your friends come out to Feast of Blades this year!
