So much stuff this month! Let’s see what’s in all these boxes. The Butcher Unleashed is just the start!

First up, a man who’s already a legend in his own time, The Butcher Unleashed. He shook up Gencon last year as a collector’s set and sold out fast. Now everyone can have him.

You expect there to be this many bits with a warcaster unit.

And here are some close-ups.

And look, scenic bases! They said they were going to stop making these. You can check out the studio Butcher3 here. Too bad there’s no 360 of the dogs.

Next up it’s another Warcaster unit: Iron Mother Directrix and her exponent Servitors

This is going to be one weird model. I’m typically a fan of weird however.

Here are some close-ups starting with the torso.

The back of the torso.

Up next another very cool sculpt for Convergence: the Transverse Enumerator.

More Cyriss stuff. This time it’s Wreck Markers for the Heavy Vectors.

These come packaged in groups of threes: a heavy and two lights.

Yet another new warcaster: Issyria for Retribution.

Here are all the pieces.

And a shot of her back.

The Retribution also get some Wreck Markers in February.

As a Minions player, this may have been the most interesting release of the month for me. I really wanted to see how the War Hog, one of my favorite Privateer sculpts, would hold up after going plastic. I honestly think he turned out pretty well. Warbeasts are some of Privateers best plastics. This type of plastic captures rounded edges well, and when the models are big, any loss of detail is minimized.

Once again: all the pieces.

And now for some close-ups.

There are a couple of places like this where the mold lines run through some kind of hard to reach areas, and might be difficult to clean. But not so difficult that I don’t think it’s worth the $10 price reduction.

And here’s the head by one of the old War Hogs for comparisons sake. Don’t forget to zoom in.

If you’re planning on getting one of these new plastic kits and are looking for some ideas on what to do with them, I might have some suggestions.

Last of all we have the new plastic Gorax.

All the pieces again.

Fortunately I have an old metal Gorax on hand for a side-by-side. The detail isn’t quite as crisp on the new one, but I think it should still paint up great. The new one is also three bucks cheaper

And the back.

~Hope you enjoyed this latest unboxing!
