The Imperium of man represents a lot of different ideas, styles, and philosophies.  This miniature is pretty much that all rolled into one…

Forge World showed off some of their new Scyllax Guardian-automata at the recent Heresy Weekender, and it looks like they’ll be on the shelves there for sale soon based on their newsletters.  I think these little critters while apparently being mindless automotons in the game are one of the best kits Forgeworld has put out in ages. What I like the most is all of its design concepts encapsulate the Grimdark.  The funky techno-tentacle legs, the asymmetry, the creepy arms, horrifying syringes, antiquated claws, and I’m forgetting something…. OH RIGHT – SKULLS, SKULLS, SKULLS, TECHNO-SKULLS!

The next time you are trying to explain what 40K is to an outsider, save your breath and just hold one of these dudes in their face.

Stoked to use these guys in games of 30k, but they’d make great servitors for pretty much anyone as well.

So if you had to pick one single miniature to sum up each race in the game which would they be?
