Kit Review

The Rampart is a fantastic new direction for GW.  It’s nice to see xenos terrain at long last and I think this is only the beginning.  It is very easy to imagine similar types of kits for the Eldar, Orks, and creepy Tyranid battlefield terrain.  The detail and modular nature of the Tau Rampart is very nice and it features such fancy features as the colored plastic pieces.  It completely fits the army aesthetic and BoLS hears the components will become available as separate boxed kits in due time.

On the Fire Warrior front, the new kits is wonderful, allowing the old “Strike Team” and the new “Breacher squad teams with new helmet designs and a bunch of new drones, turrets, and optional heads.  It’s the type of evolutionary kits that wont invalidate anyone’s existing models, but may entice players to gran an extra box to try out the new infantry options.
