Fantasy Flight Games has updated the FAQ for Star Wars X-Wing and we’ve highlighted some of the major changes – Aces Aweigh!

Hello BoLS Readers and X-Wing Aficionados. This is just a friendly PSA that Fantasy Flight Games has updated the FAQ for Star Wars X-Wing! With the release of the latest Start Box and a wave or two of new ships it’s nice to see FFG taking the time to make sure everything is still running smoothly. You can always find their FAQ online and I highly recommend you peruse the update at your leisure. Below are some of the ‘major’ changes and a hint or two at what’s to come:

The first major changes comes with a clarification on the SLAM action:

This seems pretty much the same – however they did add this to the FAQ as well:

This is pretty big news. If you remember our article and also FFG’s original article about SLAM (which has sense been edited) this is directly counter to that.

The next change is really interesting to me is the free action & asteroid interaction:

Free Action FAQ

While overlapping an asteroid does still cause ships to lose their action, if something grants you a free action you can still use that.

The final update I wanted to point out is really more of a hint at what’s to come:

Dock FFG Star Wars FAQ

Docked ships that can deploy from a carrier are coming! We’ve seen the ships and now we’re getting a sneak peak at the rules. This is good stuff!

Again – go read the FAQ! All the new changes are highlighted in red. There are lots of little rules clarifications and clean-up. Now if we could get some other companies on board with up-to-date and timely FAQ releases we could all game happily…
