Space Rocks has created a custom Nebulon-B Frigate in the scale of X-Wing!

Hey BoLS Readers, AdamHarry here and YES you read that right – a company out of the UK, Space Rocks, has created and is currently selling a Nebulon-B Escort Frigate for use with X-Wing! It’s a custom made, hand crafted and pre-painted model/miniature.

It also comes with a custom base for use with X-Wing:

And it looks great in scale with the other ships:

From the eBay listing:

EF76 Nebulon-B Escort Frigate, in scale, hand-made and hand-painted for use with Star Wars X-Wing.

This highly detailed, ready-to-play-with plastic ship makes a fantastic set piece for your space dogfights – a great addition to any asteroid field (did I mention we make these too? Check out our ebay store!)

The ship, measuring 62cm (24.4″) is double the size of X-Wing’s Tantive IV expansion so scale is absolutely spot on. (Corellian Corvette = 150m, Escort Frigate = 300m).

The ship splits into four parts, which connect and detach using a simple twist and lock mechanism. The ship easily detaches from its transparent, plastic stands to ensure smooth play when ships overlap it. The stands dismantle for easy storage & transportation.

Once mounted on its stand the ship is very sturdy. Instructions and a suggested ruleset are provided.

The fact that it’s 24.4″ and is double the length of the Tantive IV is impressive! That also means that probably not going to work on a typical 3’x3′ board for X-Wing – but would work GREAT in an Epic sized X-Wing game. This isn’t an “official” X-Wing product and it’s an eBay auction – so buyers beware. But it is hand-made and pre-painted and I’m not a copyright expert – so their may be some wiggle room. However, from a hobby and model angle, this is just amazing!

Anyone else want to take a look at the rules as much as I do?!
