Battletome: Beastclaw Raiders $35

Hulking raiders of the Mortal Realms!

Harbingers of dark months and dead seasons, marauders who stalk through the frozen darkness, the ogor tribes of the Beastclaw Raiders are gargantuan creatures of strength and hunger. Unlike orruks or warriors of the Bloodbound they fight not for the thrill but for survival – battlefields are their hunting grounds, and when the foe lies cold and dead their bodies are harvested with a gluttonous fury, for it takes a truly staggering amount of meat to satisfy these massive, ravenous raiders. Constantly on the move, their nomadic way leaves behind naught but a wasteland of cracked ice and frozen bones – and their appetites drive them to every corner of every mortal realm.

The 120-page hardback Battletome: Beastclaw Raiders contains:

Exclusive gaming content:

  • Forces of the Beastclaw Raiders; rules and abilities for your army, including powerful Allegiance Abilities – special Battle Traits and Command Traits;
  • Trophies of the Alfrostuns; magical artefacts hewn from frost-covered mountains which your heroes can use to gain an advantage;

Beastclaw Raiders Battletome – First Look Review

  • SupPupPup

    pretty ogor artwork

  • Another solid battletome. Anyone have any predictions on what’s next? Duardin? Aelfs?

    • SupPupPup

rumours say steamhead duardin release similar to sylvaneth, but who knows.

      • Severius_Tolluck

Though that is just soo much order ahead of all the otehr forces, tisk…

But yeah I would imagine they are up soon. Wonder if they are gonna get some new aesthtic or just be a repackage of some of the newer sculpts like ogors here.

        • Frank Krifka

          Lord. Weeks of Stormcast releases:

          “Ugh too many Sigmahreeenz…”

          Chaos releases?

“Too much chaos. GW needs to pay attention to other factions”

          Weeks of Destruction.

          “Where’s the order releases already?”

          Order releases.

“Too many order models. Where’s my Sisters of Battle codex?”

I’m starting think the internet just can’t be pleased…….

          • Severius_Tolluck

I dunno about all that. Just that it seemed that it was order after order. Stormcast came with much mroe fan fare than chaos, a nd what chaos most people got was.. khorne…. So lots of khorne and sigmar.

Then you got Fyreslayers (order), and Seraphon (order, technically nothing new), Clan pestilens (ok chaos for a change, but nothing new), More stormcast (order), Grand Alliance Death (death, but nothing new) Orruk (destruction new and old, yay), then sylvaneth ( order, some new, some repack, yay), and now Ogor (destruction, nothing new)

Suppose we will see them when we see them. Just would be nice if they released a little for each at a time maybe, especially sicne you do not need books anymore. Or do a more even spread across the four Forces? I think the only one i think that got too much stuff was order
I guess counting it out order against chaos and destrucction and death they are equal.

But what I jsut wanted to see is if they do actual new stuff for Death or more than Khrone for chaos. At least we got a taste of new stuff for Order and Destruction and some for chaos compared to death. We still have Aelfs of various types to be released and those will all mostly be for order.

          • ZeeLobby

To be fair, Sigmarines and Khorne bloody bloodred were some of the least interesting factions released for AoS compared to the fluff behind these latest ones. And they seemed to drag on forever.

I’m STILL anxious for some actual human factions.

          • Aezeal

Imo human and aelf should’ve been done right after the starter. Not niche factions like Fyreslayers and Ogors.

          • OldHat

Actual humans… like Khorne Bloodbound? 😉

          • ZeeLobby

Lol. They have muscles in places no normal human has muscles. I’m still waiting on some grounding faction in what is basically a god battleground. I guarantee that as soon as basic humans and their struggles are introduced, the fluff will get a lot more interesting.

          • OldHat

They are all bodybuilders, bruh! Gains for the gains God! Swole for the Swole Throne!

          • Batter my Sausage

I would buy the hell out of any updated normal humans. Even the last years of the Empire in WHFB were a bit too fancy for me (demigryphs and tanks)

          • [CU]MadKnight Hatter

Maybe it is time for death?

          • Severius_Tolluck

I’m excited to see hwat they do. Wonder if they will ever update the TK into something new and interesting. In any casae I would like to see some Lahmian vampires again

          • Beefcake the mighty

No I think “Grand alliance: Vampire Counts” is plenty.

      • Duardin is the dream for me. But I would LOVE to see a big Skeleton release to make up for the tomb kings – I’m not that keen on zombies/flesheaters

    • Beefcake the mighty

      Hew-mans? Gorblinz?
