The Tabletop Spotlight is on Dice Town – Dice, Dollars & Fun!

If you’re looking for a fast, fun game with an old west setting that tickles the gambler in us all then look no further than Dice Town:

Our friends at Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy brought this one over for us to check out and I’m glad they did. It’s a cool spin on using Poker Dice as the primary game play mechanic. This game takes luck, tactics and bluffing to the next level and keeps you coming back for more.

The goal of the game is to become the towns richest citizen. Players each have a “hand” of dice they roll, and the best hand gets to go first. You take your hand and you get to visit the town’s different shops. Each shop rewards you based on the hand you have – these rewards can vary from gold nuggets, to cash, to various other items. At the end of the game the player with the most VPs wins.

The Rules are free to download and the game is deceptively fun! I really like the card-hand mechanic as you’re forced to choose a hand based on what you roll. You can try to re-roll your dice to get what you need but other players can see what you’re rolling for and that is where the strategy comes in. Most games only take around 45 minutes and it’s super easy to reset. It’s in stores now so go check it out!

Dice Town is a fast and clever game for 2 to 5 players, that uses Poker Dice. A little luck, a hint of bluff and some good tactics are necessary in order to become the townʼs richest citizen.
