“The new Magnus the Red model was on display to the public for the first time at the Warhammer 40,000 Open Day last weekend. And we learned a few things about the new model that we didn’t know before.

Magnus will be on the way soon (Warp willing). “

It’s pretty cool to know that he really is going to be the size of an Imperial Knight! Also, I’m glad they decided to go with different head options – I know a few old school fans that will be pleased there is a “full-on classic cyclops” version. I’m also glad they are going to provide him with some different weapon options.

I’m guessing the price point will probably be in that $150 price range, much like some of the other army “centerpiece” models. I’m also very curious to see the final rules for Magnus because he’s kind of setting the stage for any future “Daemon Primarch” models that might come out. I hope his rules make him “worth taking” but don’t cross the line into “only option worth taking” territory.

A few days ago we also got a look at some of the sprues for Magnus – here they are so you can (hopefully) make out some of those options mentioned above:

Magnus is going to be an awesome kit and I can’t wait to take a crack at it!
