D&D: New Barbarian Primal Paths

There are a bunch of new rules to playtest and an important announcement – take a look!

The news that was running around Gamehole Con has been confirmed – we’re getting more Arcana and Sage Advice is on hold.

via Wizards:

We have a bunch of D&D content for you to playtest, discuss, and mull over. We have enough material, in fact, that we will be releasing Unearthed Arcana multiple times a month for the next few months. Look for the material on Mondays, and get ready to answer surveys about what you see here. We’ll take the things you love and refine them, and we’ll take the things you don’t like and either toss them out or rebuild them. Either way, your feedback will be invaluable.

Because both of us—Mike Mearls and Jeremy Crawford—are working on Unearthed Arcana for the foreseeable future, the Sage Advice column will be on hold temporarily. In the meantime, Jeremy will continue to provide official rules answers on Twitter (@JeremyECrawford).

The material in Unearthed Arcana is presented for playtesting and to spark your imagination. These game mechanics are in draft form, usable in your campaign but not fully tempered by design iterations. They are not officially part of the game. For these reasons, material in this column is not legal in D&D Adventurers League events.

Where exactly does this article mention new barbarian paths?

I assume you need to click on the “Check Out All the New Stuff Here” link, but, agreed, “News of more Unearth Arcana” would have been more accurate 😉

I think it is cool that Wizards are doing this with upcoming content for D&D.

This makes two of us Euan. WotC learned a valauble lesson with their 3.5-4th ed fiasco. Nothing like completely changing the game system to slap your fan base in the face.
