Mantic Games & Skybound Entertainment Announce Retail Launch Event for The Walking Dead: All Out War Miniatures Game
Mantic Games and Skybound Entertainment have announced the retail launch of The Walking Dead: All Out War, a miniature-based tabletop game based on the comic book by Robert Kirkman. The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter in February.
“We’re very excited about the retail launch of All Out War,” said Shawn Kirkham, Skybound SVP, Business Development. “As active gamers here at Skybound, we’ve been playing the prototype version for months now, and can’t wait for fans of both The Walking Dead and of miniature games to get a chance to play All Out War. The game captures the look and feel of The Walking Dead world perfectly.”
A series of coordinated launch events have also been announced at select retailers (to be announced) across the globe beginning December 4th in North America and across the globe throughout the month. These store-run events will include free promotional items and an exclusive tournament-style game scenario to introduce fans to the game.
“The Walking Dead Launch Day Events are the first in what we hope will be a long line of coordinated play to support ‘All Out War’ in 2017 and beyond, said Ronnie Renton, CEO, Mantic Games. “It’s a chance for fans to come together, play as a community, and celebrate their favorite comic.”
The retail edition of The Walking Dead: All Out War includes 18 highly detailed miniatures and is supported by further booster packs and expansions throughout the coming year. The game faithfully recreates the tension and drama of the hit comic book series, as players compete for resources with other survivors while under constant threat by deadly walkers.
