It is the 31st Century and mankind is once again at war The battlefields of the future are dominated by huge war machines know as Battlemechs. In this week’s tabletop post we are going to get you started with the awesomeness that is known as Battletech.

First a quick overview of the flow of the game, how the action alternates, and how damage is resolved.

Table tactics are next as we look at some of the unique features of the game vs. other tabletop war games.

Each mech is a strategy in its own- using each mech individually and as a unit is key.

Been looking for this game for quite some time now. I can’t seem to find it anywhere for sale.

Online retailers are your friend man. The cool thing is even if there is not a huge following at your store, by the starter set with the Atlas mech on the cover and the board/wargame nature of the game can make it so you and a friend can really enjoy it.

The problem is, I’m mostly interested in the intro box set, as it is a great start to the game and at it’s retail price it’s a great deal. The problem is, it is out of stock everywhere, and the only one I could find was at Amazon for $289.88 (original price is about $40).
As for people people to play the game with, I have a friend who is very into Battlettech, he’s the one who showed me and a few other the game, and we were all very interested in it, but I would want to have my own minatures, mostly becouse that friend doesn’t have that much time to play.
