the next game i hope GW resurrects is Battlefleet Gothic..

Same here. I have missed BFG more than any other. I don’t know why it never really caught on the first time around, but hoping this time is better.

Is curious starter ppl in miniature games usually start at 28mm scale, after a while they give oportunity to real feeling of battle games at 15mm and less scale.

It did catch on amongst enough. I know people who still play it. I played a game last year and as soon as my health improves i have several games lined up! Recasters are making a killing supporting it. 3d printers are also making money from it. You don’t want to know how much i paid for some genuine ad-mech Explorator ships on Ebay!

I never really heard the reason why they stopped supporting it. I don’t know if it was simply because of the tougher times GW was having and something had to go, so I can understand that. My main reason I never got into as much as I wanted to back in the day was the cost. Everything seemed way overpriced as it was back in the day, so yeah, I can imagine what Ebay prices are.

Oh they dropped all the specialist games because of some bizarre thought that they were harming their fantasy and 40k sales, and instead handed over a ton of sales to the skirmish and 6mm scale games and space/naval combat games that sprang up to fill the void (some made by ex-GW staff, Star wars armada is by Andy Chambers who created Battlefleet Gothic for example).

GW should never have shoved them into the back-room of ‘specialist games’ in the first place, that was about shelf-space in GW-brand retail stores and wanting it focussed on fantasy/40k.

GW essentially created their main competition by dropping those games and staff.

You thought that they were overpriced back in the day? Compared to the overpriced models now?

  • Krizzab

I only hope they dont do the same thing in the DFC sprues (too many components, hard to magnetise), i remember my 6 magnetised cruisers, you could build any cruiser/battlecruiser in game. Same for the Battleships

Would love new BFG rules/miniatures with ways to combine Kill Team for boarding actions.

Abaddon’s fleet, flying in the infamous “Do not dare to fail your command check” formation.

I would love to see BFG come back. It was my gateway drug into 40k.
