The Stormcast’s new Gryph Calvary are coming this weekend and we got a sneak peek at the kit – check out the new Vanguard-Palladors!

I hope everyone is ready for the next batch of Stormcast releases because we have them and are taking a look inside the kits:

The Vanguard-Palladors are faster and lighter than their Dracoth-Cav counter parts. They trade in 1 point of Armor Save for an additional 2″ of movement. They are also equipped with some different weapon options are are designed for a different role on the battlefield – Harassment. Using their speed and range they are much better at striking and softening up targets from range than charging head-long into an enemy unit at full throttle.

But game play aside, these models are very technically impressive. I’ve already gotten to work assembling these and I can say first hand that Games Workshop has done it again with these kits. They are getting really good at “cutting” a model-up to fit on a sprue. On top of that, the cuts are mostly hidden after assembly. If you build these models correctly, I would challenge folks to take a look at the miniature and try and find the seam lines.

Another factor that was really impressive was the cloaks on the models. The detail of the fur is crisp – each strand of fur is noticeable and the level of detail is really top notch. I could go on but I think you the idea – kudos to GW for another amazing kit.

Overall, I think that the Vanguard-Palladors kits is fantastic. Stormcast players should appreciate the tactical flexibility they bring to the table as they now have a choice between heavy armored front-line charging cavalry and the faster moving harassment cavalry. The Palladors will be hitting shelves this weekend!

Without doubt the fastest ground elements of the Stormhosts. By transmuting into wind-borne lightning atop their Gryph-chargers, they can ride the celestial hurricane to circumvent the enemy army’s defences, before reassuming their corporeal forms to strike at the foe’s exposed throat with bolt, javelin, axe and claw.

This multi-part plastic kit contains the parts necessary to assemble 3 Vanguard-Palladors, mounted on Gryph-chargers and armed with boltstorm pistols and either shock handaxes or starstrike javelins. They come with 3 helmeted heads; these have the option of being modelled with either topknots or crests, depending on how you want your unit to look.

The Vanguard-Palladors are ready to outflank your wallet this weekend!
