Noah Ward, Nathan Richardsson, and Katie Fleming recently gave a Production Update (storm shields, scope toggle, Eternal Crusade stats), played PVE and answered Q&A!

The new Storm Shield look:

The Scope toggle feature was also added. Now, you can aim down sight (ADS) by pressing the “b” key to toggle it on/off. Now folks can aim without using the scope. This is great for keeping your field of vision open and still gaining accuracy for your shots.

Another interesting segment was the breakdown of the faction vs faction details. Showing off win percentage of the game week-over-week you can see some over-all trends. The big one is that the Space Marines are getting rocked pretty hard vs most of the factions. They are consistently is the high 30% to mid 40% win range.

That might not seem like a big deviance, but the other factions are all closer to the 45-55% range vs each other. Ideally, this is where you want all factions to be without one clearly behind like the Space Marines. There are also some fan theories that this is because the Space Marines are the most popular among new players so naturally they would lose more. Whatever the case may be, Behaviour has talked about doing some balance passes to tweak the Marines in the future.

The Live Stream ended with the standard Q&A with the crew getting in some PvE action as well.

It will be interesting to see how the addition of the Storm Shields impacts the game for the Space Marines. Will that help bump their win % or will they continue to trend below average…time will tell…
