Mark III Space Marines

Tartaros Terminators

The Mk III Marines and Tartaros Terminators are finally available in “solo” plastic kits – Heresy Fans rejoice!

  • Daniel Rodriguez Casado

There is no news about assault marines, or devastator, or these type of units from the Heresy time?

    • Aura1

Those units exist (well Devestators technically don’t) but not as single plastics yet.

    • John Michael

      It’s called kit bashing/forge world

      • Karru

Still hoping for GW to release HH Assault Marines/Devastators in plastic. Forge World would be nice if it didn’t have such high postage costs.

    • rtheom

Yup, that has always been hardcore internet wishlisting. It was pretty obvious that’s what it was when the Prospero boxed set was supposed to contain plastic kits for everything missing from the 30K range. :p

      • Iconoc1ast

was there not a rumour stating that it was going to be boarding squads, like imperial fists/iron warriors or something like that?

    • Daniel Rodriguez Casado

Yes I know, I have a huge Hersy army from Forge World (I like more 30k than 40k to be honest), but after the plastic MkIII, Im wondering about the other units. FW is more expensive, and even more out of UK.

    • Red_Five_Standing_By

You buy Prospero and Calth, then but the Weapons from Forge World

    • Daniel Rodriguez Casado

I buy entire squads from FW since they released the first HH units, but there was rumors about tactical/devastator/assault/boarding units for MkIII and MkIV being release in plastic. And to be honest I prefer plastic than resin. Tha’s why Im asking, for these rumors

  • Chumba

    Finally new space marine models!

    • Rainthezangoose

Your sarcasm is moot when these are from last year and are just a repackage so you don’t have to buy a whole sub-game (which was painfully average) to get them.

  • SilentPony

30k really has become the superior system

    • ThunderClap

Only if you play Space Marines and want to go against nothing but other Space Marines

      • Karru

That’s true, but if you play Age of Darkness rules with 40k armies, you’ll have amazing time.

  • sonny2dap .

Tartaros termis match up much better with Mk IV anyway

  • DoctorBored

I’m still waiting on Mark V. That’ll be the time I’d update my Space Marine army. Proper Space Sharks. I could just get the Forgeworld stuff, but then, people could have gotten the FW stuff for these guys too.

  • Foehammer7977

Also, it’s fairly obvious that these kits are highly aimed at 40k players. Example: tactical box has special weapons and heavy bolter, but HH tactical can’t take those weapons. Also both the HH terminator kits can’t build the “default” weapon loadout for the terminators with power weapons.

    • DaveTycho

You can load out the MKIII and MKIV marines as veterans tactical squads in 30k, and have them as Troops choices with certain Rites of War.

  • piglette

Is there any difference between these and the ones from Calth?

    • DaveTycho

The armour marks are visually different in design. Also there is a game difference between Cataphractii and Tartaros terminators, being that Cataphractii are slower but better protected, while Tartaros is much more agile.
