Geekery: New ‘Kingsman – The Golden Circle’ Trailer
A new look at the Kingsman and the Statesman… slower this time.
Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman are offering up a new chapter that seems to contain all of the endearing qualities of the last – with some bigger names and bangs. A few quick observations:
- Michael Gambon!
- Harry Hart!
- Orange velour suit!
- Robotic arm!
- Explosions!
Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, and Mark Strong return as members of the super secret English organization; and the cast expands with the addition of Statesman members Channing Tatum (Agent Tequila), Pedro Pascal (Agent Whiskey), Halle Berry (Ginger), and Jeff Bridges (Agent Champagne). Julianne Moore plays the big baddy, Poppy. Sir Elton John is cast, but I have no idea what’s up with that.
In addition to the new movie, we’re getting an new story for the comics confirmed by one of the creators…
This would probably be a good time to mention that a new Kingsman comic starts in September too. Kingsman: The Red Diamond. More later 🙂
