Geekery: The Punisher is Coming to Netflix
Looks like Frank Castle’s solo series will be out this year.
He was one of the best things to come out of the second season of Dare Devil. Jon Bernthal delivered the screen version of the character that many had been hoping for every time a movie missed the mark. If you haven’t caught up with season two by now, cancel your plans this upcoming weekend and marathon it.
The solo series was announced at SDCC last year – I’ve been waiting for word that Jon Bernthal would be back before 2018. He will be. Cast also includes Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role as Karen Page, Ben Barnes, and a group of solid newcomers. The series is listed as being currently in production, so I’d expect this to debut later in the year after The Defenders comes out in August.
