Forge World Fans Rejoice – Your models are getting some rules love for 8th Edition, too!

If you’re a big time Forge World Fan and you’ve probably had you share of concerns about the new edition. Well hopefully this will help you breathe easier because Forge World isn’t going to let all that pretty resin go to waste.

“As well as your Citadel Miniatures, we know that loads of you love to include Forge World models in your forces or even make whole armies of these more specialised kits. Don’t worry, we have you covered.

Much like Citadel Miniatures, rules for the extensive Warhammer 40,000 Forge World range will be made available in a series of Index books. The first two of these will be available alongside the new edition of Warhammer 40,000, available to pre-order on the 3rd of June. These first two books will cover the forces of the Adeptus Astartes and their traitorous kin.”

Now, I’m sure there are folks out there who are saying, “Wait – I don’t play either of those factions! What about my awesome resin models?!” You can relax, too. Games Workshop and Forge World have you covered:

“Rules for all the rest of the Warhammer 40,000 Forge World range, including the myriad xenos races of the galaxy and the massed forces of the Astra Militarum and their accompanying Imperial Agents, will all be appearing in additional Index books that set to be released before the end of June.

Every single Warhammer 40,000 miniature that Forge World make today will be covered, as well as a few classic ones.”

That sounds pretty awesome to me! “Wait, what about my Horus Heresy stuff!? When is that getting some love?” Well, they have some big news for you directly this weekend at Warhammer Fest 2017. Aside from all the awesome models folks will get first dibs on there, FW is planning a big announcement for the future of the Heresy Era. So you’ll have to wait until the weekend for that story to unfold. I hope you can wait until then…

It’s a big undertaking to update EVERYTHING in the game and release it all Day One. And to update ALL the Forge World model’s rules by the end of June – nice work Forge World and GW…
