More news from Warhammer Fest–Rogal Dorn is a work in progress.

Spotted over at Battle Bunnies: it seems like Simon Egan was hanging out at Warhammer Fest and chatting about Magnus the Red and also had a little to say about his current sculpting project:

After a great chat to Simon Egan regarding Magnus the Red, he told me when asked that Rogal Dorn is his current Sculpting project. He has promised that the eagle framing his head will not be obscenely big too!

That eagle is as big as the other Marine’s torso. For comparison.

That’s pretty cool! Simon Egan has done some fantastic work.

And it’s not just that he does good sculpting, it’s the thought and the context that goes along with it. And it’s high time we got another good look at Dorn. Now, this probably just means a Horus Heresy-era model, but, part of me wants to hold out hope that he’s coming back. After all, just because the Primarchs are “dead” doesn’t mean they’ll stay that way.

Which Dorn will we get though? Cocky Dorn?

Grim Dorn?

About to choke someone Dorn?

I Love Eagles, Dorn?

Not to be confused with I love The Eagles Dorn.

Not appearing in this picture Dorn?

Time alone will tell. Stay tuned for more information as it develops. Mind you, all we know is that Dorn is Simon Egan’s current project. This is by no means a guarantee of release date or anything like that. But I imagine that if he’s getting worked on, and can be talked about, that it’s not going to be too much longer before we see the Lord of the Fists (what do you mean nobody calls him that) hit the Table Top. Or, at least the Forge World website.

Potential plot twist: the new Dorn sculpt is all that remains–just a hand encased in a stasis chamber.
