Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new expansion for Mansions of Madness. Take a look inside Streets of Arkham.

If you haven’t got a chance to play FFG’s App-Assisted Mansions of Madness Second Edition you need to do yourself a favor and give it a go. The game is pretty fantastic and the App actually makes things run better. FFG is making great strides in the App Assisted/Digital-Analog Hybrid Gaming front. We’ve touched on this subject before. I was very skeptical before but after playing more than a few games of XCOM and MM 2nd, I am a convert!

That said, there is a new expansion for Mansions of Madness Second Edition coming your way in Q4 of 2017: Streets of Arkham. This expansion adds new scenarios, new tiles, new mythos events, cards, and of course more investigators!

Fantasy Flight Games is excited to announce Streets of Arkham, a new expansion for Mansions of Madness: Second Edition. Three new digital scenarios build upon the Arkham Files universe with yet unseen tiles, mythos events, investigators, and cards to expand upon your investigations.

Meet the New Recruits

Each new investigator comes with their own unique ability to align with the backstory detailed on the back of their character cards. Finn Edwards’s past as a bootlegger has prepared him to be quick as he moves about the shadows, allowing him to move an extra space before or after performing a search action. The reformed cultist, Diana Stanley, has seen more terrors than any other investigator of the Arkham universe. As such, when she would suffer two or more horror, she suffers one fewer horror instead. Officer Tommy Muldoon of Boston always has his trusty rifle, Becky, at his side, which he can use on any test. And last but certainly not least, the enchanting singer Marie Lambeau can use the skills learned from her grand-mere in the bayou to cast a spell without spending an action.

This expansion also comes with some new challenges like the new enemy: Lloigor! But the challenges don’t stop there. The new expansion also brings a new puzzle game to the app. In this tower puzzle, the players must stack the randomized blocks of various sizes on top of one another. However, they must be stacked from largest to smallest in a single column and you can only move the top most block. It might sound simple, but this game promises to each up those much needed actions to solve.

Streets of Arkham also adds three new scenarios to the game: Astral Alchemy, Gangs of Arkham, and Ill-Fated Exhibit. All of three of these new scenarios sound like they will put investigators to the test – and test the limits of their sanity, too!

This expansion sounds like a wealth of new content to check out for Mansions of Madness and I would love to take a crack at it. If you’re interested in learning more you can read the full preview directly from FFG HERE. Keep an eye out for this one to hit stores in Q4 of 2017!
