This month’s White Dwarf is kind of a big deal. I heard it’s going to feature a new edition or something…
White Dwarf Editor Matt Keefe: This issue, to complement the release of Warhammer 40,000, what we wanted to do is show off the full range of possibilities in this best ever edition of the game. You’ve seen a ton of stuff over these past few weeks about how the new Warhammer 40,000 really works but what really makes this new edition, we think, is the sheer variety possible – in how you play, how you choose your armies (even how you add up the army’s cost), the kind of missions you play, the strategies you adopt and, well, every aspect of the game really.
First Blood – Members of the White Dwarf Team take a crack at their first games of Warhammer 40,000 8th:
Robin Cruddance and Jes Bickham talk about the game from the designers point of view:
We get a detailed look at the Primaris Space Marines in their Mark X Armour!
We also get a look at how a handful of the staff and how they are adapting their forces to 8th:
And we also get an EPIC looking battle report as well:
“There is, of course, a lot more besides – Golden Demon: Horus Heresy, A Tale of Four Warlords (watch the group get ready for the new edition), a look at four beautiful legions from the Mortal Realms, The Ultimate Guide to… Blades of Khorne and much, much more besides. Head on over to the White Dwarf Facebook page for more previews over the coming week.”
There promises to be lots of great stuff in this month’s White Dwarf – plus it’s Warhammer 40k 8th’s launch! I’ve been chompin at the bit to play games all week. It’s been a fun ride so far and I think that this edition has the potential to last for a very long time.
The June White Dwarf goes on sale next Friday and New Edition hit shelves Saturday – Are you ready for Warhammer 40k!?
