Unboxing: Runewars Carrion Lancers

Join the BoLS Crew as we carrion with the new Lancers for the Undead in Rune Wars.

This is one unit that’s wormed its way into our hearts. These Carrion Lancers are brutal. They hit hard, they move fast, and they are hard to kill. If you’ve got blight tokens or want to pass them along, well these guys have got some literature they’d like you to read.

This may be one of the easiest assembled models we’ve handled. Especially for as big and complex as they are–there’s a grand total of five pieces depending on how you’re assembling it and they all just fit together. It takes minimal effort to get these ready to play, and with as durable as these units are, you definitely want to get them ready to play.

Coming in with 3 armor and 3 toughness, and a decent speed/initiative, the Carrion Units are a great way to help pump out blight tokens–or to increase the panic of a unit that’s already suffering. These are great flankers and “breakers” you use them to crash through a unit before they can get in position, or to help sweep through and clear a unit you’ve pinned down with your other troops.

Or take some of the Front Line Lancers and have them lead the charge, generating enough blight for your other units to take advantage of. Either way, these are a great addition to any Undead Army.

Carrion Lancers Unit Expansion Pack $34.95

The massive Carrion Worms that follow the armies of Waiqar the undying are not easily tamed, but those that are prove to be valuable assets for the carrion worm masters on the field of battle. Carrion Worms are swift for their size and inspire fear in the heartiest of Waiqar’s enemies.

The Carrion Lancers Unit Expansion features two Carrion Lancer Plastic Figures, one new and one identical to the core set, to expand your legions of the undead. The expansion also features eight new upgrade cards to improve your armies and crush your enemies underfoot.

Remember, if I’m not back again this time tomorrow, Carrion, Carrion, as if nothing really matters.
