All of these items will be available first at Warhammer World Open Day 2017 and then they will be available to the public for purchase after the event. But enough about that check out those sweet new miniatures from Forge World!

Legio Custodes Orion Assault Dropship £275

Legion Sicaran Omega Tank Destroyer £82

These are surely going to be massive and deadly new models to take to the battlefields of the Horus Heresy Era or the Grim Dark 40k era. I can’t wait to see what they do!

Are you one of the lucky few who got tickets to Forge World Open 2017 Day this weekend? What are you looking forward to seeing?

  • Severius_Tolluck

Hmm sort of like a corvus black star, but more curvy, I like it

    • Pcm979

      The Curvy Blackstar.

    • pokemastercube .

wouldnt be supprised if the corvus’s STC is related to the orion. like how the baneblade and falchon are related

      • georgelabour

It also bears resemblance to guncuters used in various part of the lore. Specifically the artwork in FFG’s Rogue Trader RPGs.

Which means this is not only a nifty model but plugs a minor hole in the lore that links more of the newer vehicles to older designs like the thunderhawk.

        • pokemastercube .

its nice where things connect, especially given how the mechanicus are with things

  • orionburn

Bloody hell that Sicaran looks awesome. Makes me wish all the more that FW would sell the turrets on their own.

  • Krizzab

    thousand sons praetor, nice sculp

  • Aled Mathias

I may have to pick up one or two of those new sicarans if the rules are right on them…

  • Emprah

The tau totally ripped the manta off us! Filthy xenos!

    • the_cosmic_serpent

That’s ok because it looks like the imperium ripped off the Tau to make the new sicaran turret.

      • georgelabour

Except that turret is being made some 6000 years before the Tau invented anime.

        • NNextremNN

The Eldar invented anime way before they were copied by the imperium titans.

          • georgelabour

“No. The Eldar just invented cosplay. And poetry nights. They lack the sense of adventure and love of large body parts required for anime.”
            -Rogal Dorn

        • the_cosmic_serpent

Yes if time moved in a straight-line, the warp is a funny thing 😉 Maybe someone jumped the warp “shark” and saw the Tau vehicle and brought it back to 30k. Or maybe the all powerful and all seeing emperor was like “got any more of those rail guns?” Or whatever the stormsurge is lugging around.

          • georgelabour

Or maybe the Tau were a transhumanist project of a culture from the dark age of technolgy. One that wanted to try one upping the Slann in terms of engineered races.

These proto-tau could have then been imbued with an ability much like that of an ork. Only not as kewl, and with more episodes of Gundam downloaded onto it.

Considering the lore hints at them being partially engineered, AND of there being an akashic record holding all of humanity’s potential knowledge this is not as implausible as it sounds.

Certainly works better than the theory from xenology.

Fires of cyraxus indeed seems to have been lost to the tides of the warp.

    • georgelabour

As long as it’s being properly updated to the new edition instead of the hodge podge job they did on those indices I’m willing to wait another four months.

But if they make me wait five…

  • AEZ

I think lots of gold on detailed mini’s looks better than lots of gold on plain surfaces: not liking the paint scheme on that flyer.

  • The flyer looks cool, makes me wonder what GW will make for the Primaris.

I like the Rogue Idol too…is it just a re-release of the old one?

    • Vicent Martín Bonet

      Yes, it is a re-release.

  • Krev_Grazl

It has enough design nods to the Thunderhawk to be believable, and I really like it!

  • ZeeLobby

Grabbing on to that infinity hook. I like it.

Sadly at that price I’ll just never own one.

  • Josh Felstead

Ooooh look at those Aquilon Terminators, armed with…hairdryers?

  • Kk
  • NihlusX

I like the idea behind the Orion but I’d like to see a different color scheme…
Sicaran’s killing it as always though
