Our Sturmhanner

Mantic Sent BoLS a sample which we built and painted up to match our current desert themed table.  It went together very fast and was easy to paint up quickly with it’s high relief. These models are beefy, affordable and great for both Warpath, or just to dress up your table. The Sturmhammer is slightly larger than a Rhino from GW, and the Interceptor aircraft is roughly Valkyrie sized.

The parts are not on sprues, but come pre-clipped in plastic bags, so assembly goes fast.

~What do you think of Mantic’s first big plastic kit?

  • euansmith

Multiple turrets is a nice touch; though the APC rear deck seems a bit of a waste of plastic. Surly better to put on the turret version and just leave off the turrets when using it as an APC.

  • Luca Lacchini

I like the overlapping plates that create a face on the front glacis, but there’s something wrong in the track sides, maybe the wedge shapes in the lower front.
Good choice of options for a single kit, though.

  • el_tigre

At least someone thought to release a transport for mechanicus. You know, the guys who build all of our tanks.

    • Graham Bartram

At least we might get the Triaros in 40K… ..if Fires of Cyraxus ever shows up.

  • I really love the Interceptor. I think I’ll use that to circumvent the horrible Space Marine fighter.

    • Carey_Mahoney

      That’s the spirit!

Is there an echo in here? ☺

        … in here…

  • Knight_of_Infinite_Resignation

I like it a lot. Its original and fits the aesthetic of the army. Very nice.

  • SacTownBrian

Are these for the same army? They don’t have the same aesthetic, feels like they are for different factions.

    • euansmith

The AFV is for the Squats Forge Fathers and the aircraft is for the Space Marines Enforcers.

  • chris harrison

Very nice. Maybe I’ll check out the Warpath rules. I’ve always been a closet treadhead

  • SilentPony

It looks like a Sister of Silence tank…

  • Carey_Mahoney

    Nice!

  • elwin charpentier

    It’s a new space marine flyer ? 😀

  • kobalt60

I like it. Good job Mantic.

  • Richard Mitchell

I really enjoy the Deadspace (especially since I have been replaying it) aspects of Deadzone and Warpath in general. Not a big fan of its Rogue Trader aspects. However, I got to admit, these Forge Father models look great.
