Codex Eldar is up for pre-order right now and we are here to talk about the lean mean Craftworld fighting machine!

Codex Eldar is up for pre-order right now! While you’re on the GW site please don’t forget about Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire too. Huzzah. Its a nice day to be in the hobby.

If you have trouble getting to the show from work we are also on YouTube. You can find the full show there and short tactic and reaction videos.

Hey guys,

This episode is all about the Eldar.  In the finishing moves segment we even give some tips around painting the these types of figures.

Shadespire is also up for sale today for real.  The wait is finally over!  This is a fast paced game using high quality figures.  You can already see where this game is going and they plan to fully support it.  I’ve played this ‘competitively’ and casually.  Its been a blast each time.

The game is part deck building, party strategy board game and part miniature wargame. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Expect more coverage on this soon!

With that said… this episode is all about the Eldar.  We focus a lot on just how much cheaper Eldar units have gotten.  Almost anything you were taking in the past got a point reduction in the book and some of these point discounts are HUGE.

Things like the Falcon Grav Tank dropped by 49 points.  Most of the name characters dropped in points by a good percentage too.

Even the Wraith Knight with the sword and board got a good bit cheaper.

The Eldar have suffered some since the release of 8th. (I know a lot of you weren’t sorry about that)   These point changes, plus the strategems,  psychic power and Craftworld Attributes make this army a lot more efficient.  We mostly go over point changes in this episode and next week we’ll be be back talking about units and strategies.

The Finishing Moves segment is sponsored by Frontline Gaming. Their new mats are now hot off the presses and getting ready to be shipped. Please check them out, even if you already have a game mat. Their new styles are very impressive. If you haven’t already get your tickets NOW for the mega Las Vegas Open.

This segment is about when to paint and when not to maybe paint – what some people leave as ‘non painted surfaces’ on their models.

FTN mostly focuses on Warhammer 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you.

If i wanted to watch the youtubes id go to youtube. Why not write something of substance on a medium where there is an expectation you will write something of substance

    • I really have to remind myself not to click FTN or Frontline “articles”.

ya just buy those mats in person as, Unfortunately as the description of the mat reads due to the printing process there are slight variations in the size of the mats that are unavoidable. you may not get what u expect. great quality tho

All of the Xenos armies deserve big upgrades. Otherwise Imperial and Chaos soup lists have far too much variety to choose from and the Xenos don’t stand a chance. Unlike Imperium, Xenos armies can’t cherry pick from six books and 400+ FW models to build their lists.
