Games Workshop has some new goodies for Craftworld Eldar players – come take a quick look at the releases!

Our buddies at Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy brought over the Eldar goods this week to show off what you can expect at your FLGS from Games Workshop:

First and foremost, the new Codex is out – Craftworlds! That’s right, all you Eldar players have a new ‘dex to play with and I can say that there are some pretty mean things in the book waiting for you to try out. In particular, I’m becoming a fan of the Eldar Webway Strike stratagem which allows you to deploy up to 2 units on the table anywhere over 9″ away. I’m finding it’s a great way to drop in some Wraithguard with D Weapons right where I want them.

The book itself is exactly what you’d expect – it’s got tons of new lore that picks up almost immediately after the events of Gathering Storm. On top of that, all units in the book have background you can read about as well as all the rules/abilities/wargear/psychic powers/etc. you’ve come to expect.

For that reason do also recommend checking out the Datacards for the Eldar. These are pretty handy due to the fact that the Eldar have so many new things to keep track off. With a total of 18 Psychic Powers and 20+ stratagems, it’s a nice to have deck.

If you’re brand new to the Eldar, the Start Collecting! Craftworlds box is a really good deal. If you the math, the discount is over 40% off MSRP if you bought the units individually! That’s a deal no matter how you slice it. Plus, Wraithlords are good now. At Toughness 8 with 10 wounds…yeah. All these new releases are out now so what are you waiting for? Go join a Craftworld and fight the tide today!

Codex: Craftworlds $40

Lost in the vastness of space, the craftworlds float in utter isolation like scattered jewels upon a pall of velvet. Distant from the warmth of sun or planet, their domes gaze into the darkness of empty space. Within them live the survivors of a civilisation abandoned long ago amidst terrifying destruction. These are the Aeldari, a race that is all but extinct, the last remnants of a people whose mere dreams once overturned worlds and quenched suns.

Datacards: Craftworlds $15

Designed to make it easier to keep track of Tactical Objectives, psychic powers and Stratagems in games of Warhammer 40,000, this set of 78 cards – each featuring artwork on the reverse – is an indispensable tool in the arsenal of any Craftworlds gamer.

The Eldar have arrived and are ready to defend their dying empire – and they WILL take you out with them…
