via Games Workshop

Necromunda: Underhive $125

Deep below the nightmarish, polluted hive cities of Necromunda, in the twisted, dark tunnels of the Underhives, rival gangs fight to the bitter end for personal power, survival and the honour of their Houses.

Designed for 2 players, this is a game of tactics, skill and absolute ruthlessness, set on the iconic hive world of Necromunda. Players choose 1 of the 2 included gangs in the box, and fight brutal skirmishes on the game board using everything at their disposal – ducking behind barricades to survive withering hails of gunfire before popping up and shooting back, placing and overriding traps, using the decrepit, crumbling corridors of the Underhives to unleash precise strikes before scurrying back into the dark. Survival in the Underhives is a difficult and desperate business, where violence is often the only option.

Necromunda: Gang War $30

Note: a copy of the Necromunda: Underhive boxed game is required to use this supplement.

The rules included with the Necromunda: Underhive boxed game cover battles set in the claustrophobic tunnels beneath the hives – but gangs also clash above ground, amid sprawling machinery that fills vast domes from ground to ceiling. Necromunda: Gang War is a set of rules that allow the players to use 3D terrain in their games, bringing a literal new dimension to their battles – and also an incredibly detailed campaign system, in which 2-6 (or more!) players develop their gangs, fight for territory and dominate the other Houses.

Escher Gang $40

House Escher is unique among the great Houses of Necromunda, for its gangs are made up entirely of women. Masters of pharmaceuticals and chemical manipulation, what an Escher may lack in terms of raw physical strength, she more than makes up for in speed, skill and sheer psychotic flair.

Assemble your own Escher gang – or add to the miniatures found in the Necromunda: Underhive box – with this set of 10 plastic miniatures. They’ve been designed to provide you with a huge amount of variety and options in assembly, meaning every gang will be unique. Included:

– 10 bodies – 2 each of 5 unique designs – each wearing flak armour. These have been designed with specific weapon options in mind, though of course you are free to model them as you see fit;
– 18 heads – 2 each of 9 unique designs – 4 featuring respirator masks. There are 14 different hairpieces – 2 each of 7 different designs – which can fit onto whichever head you choose;

Goliath Gang $40

The gangers that fight in the name of House Goliath are hulking brutes, each a pillar of muscle and pent-up violence ready to be unleashed. Far larger and stronger than an ordinary human, they flaunt their strength wherever they go and it is difficult to ignore the air of brutality which Goliaths wear like a mantle.

Assemble your own Goliath gang – or add to the miniatures found in the Necromunda: Underhive box – with this set of 10 plastic miniatures. They’ve been designed to provide you with a huge amount of variety and options in assembly, meaning every gang will be unique. Included:

– 10 bodies – 2 each of 5 unique designs – each wearing furnace plate armour. These have been designed with specific weapon options in mind, though of course you are free to model them as you see fit;

    Any exclusives for pre-ordering, a la Shadespire?

  • dave long island

    Holy Christmas in January: Thatsa lotta product!

  • LufgtHuron

    are the gangs that are sold separate the same models as the ones that are the main Necromunda box?

    • el_tigre

      I don’t think so, the ones in the box seem to be monopose and representative of a particular set of gangers about half way through a campaign.

      • mafiacheese

        The gangs in the box are the same as the ones you can build separately.

        Source: I built my local GW store’s demo copy today. Two sprues for each gang, each sprue is identical (i.e. 5 different body sculpts, makes 10 models).

    • I_am_Alpharius

      Exactly the same. Core set has guidance on how to build the kits to represent the gangers on the provided reference cards in the set.

      Both kits have been designed to be highly customisable. So nearly every: body, head, arms, hair and little add-ons are compatible with each other. The only exceptions are the Goliath Rivet Cannon which drags on the ground when used with the running legs and the wth Escher’s leader cloak which on fits with two of the bodies.

  • Rainthezangoose

    Bet the pre-order everything has zero discount.

  • benvoliothefirst

    Very curious to see the scale on these guys. With Stormcast being so much bigger than “normal human scale” in Aos, and Primaris being bigger than previous marines, are the goliaths the size of a “normal sci-fi human,” or bigger?

    • I_am_Alpharius

      Both gangs models are ‘in scale’ with ‘modern’ citadel plastics – think along the lines of the Tempestus Scions and Genestealer Cultist – So plenty of scope for easy conversion. The Goliath gangers bodies are certainly bigger to reflect their background about their use of the growth stims, that they are dependent on and the way they are “breed like prize cattle”; quoting from the WD background article on them:

      “The House values nothing higher than physical strength, and to this end breeds its workers like prize cattle in an effort to create the strongest, toughest and most unthinkable loyal workers of the furnace in the galaxy. The core of these workers are huge brutes – incredible strong and tough, but often mentally unbalanced and extremely short-lived. House Goliath furnace-tenders are often bigger then a Space Marine and some regard them as a classifiable stain of Abhumans.”

      • NikosanPrime

        Just an aside, and no negative comment on the poster, but if that is a direct quote from GW’s marketing materials then they need better Editors. Too many spelling mistakes and typos in general. For example “most unthinkable loyal workers” instead of “unthinkably loyal” and “classifiable stain of Abhumans” instead of “strain of Abhumans”.

        Minor things I know, and I wouldn’t comment if it was a comment or article from a non-professional civilian source. But as it is from WD then I think they should probably be giving it a full proof reading.

        • I_am_Alpharius

          Just me copying too quickly and therefore some typos crept in – all corrected now 🙂
