Painting handle… The only time I’ve had trouble holding a miniature I was painting was when I’d already been into a handle of something.

  • Karru

I know I am getting that painting handle as soon as possible, and possibly those STC Ruins as well. Everything else is in the “Neat” territory, those Ruined Walls are actually pretty clever.

    • Bootneck

Just use a paint pot with blue tack on or a wine cork.

That handle looks pretty unwieldy to me, I might be wrong.

      • LankTank

I was thinking the same. It does seem quite large?
But I haven’t had much experience with handles, always resorting to paint pottles as you pointed out.

  • Xodis

Might grab a couple Painting handles, 1 to hold and 1 to place in the vice. Really glad I didnt back that Kickstarter for these now.
The ruined walls of the Dreadhold look nice to….maybe I need those…. lol

    • ZeeLobby

Eh. I think the KS is still the better design, except for the way bases are held on these.

      • Xodis

They definitely look better than GW’s design, but I think the KS made them too nice looking for a tool that is bound to get dirty. I think the simplistic nature of GWs model is a boon where you dont really need to worry about how dirty it will be, and as you said the base lock being the real winner here.

        • ZeeLobby

Huh? Lol. It’s all about the utility. I think the KS onea design will be more useful for holding during painting. I mean who cares how nice either will look, it’s all about the utility. Having used corks for years (which is what this basically is) any of the other holders offer much better control when painting. As you said, the holder is pretty cool here. Personally I’ll be sawing that off and gluing it to a more useful holder, hehe.

  • Knight_of_Infinite_Resignation

    Where are the plasma thingies?

  • Jack

All look useless and waste of money

    • LankTank

      All of what??
Obviously Nid players need the codex and there will be plenty of people who want the terrain and battle cards. Are you sure you are not looking in the mirror?

      • Jack

        Meh, Nids players arent important.
