Come see our list of the Best Board Games of 2017!

Trying to pick the top Board Game of 2017 is similar to trying to drink from a fire hose – there are hundreds of games to choose from. Needless to say, cutting down the list was a monumental task but our own Board Game ringer Matt Sall was up to the task.

Now, we do have one major note to make before we continue: We’re only counting games that had a retail release, not just a successfully funded and shipped Kickstarter. If you can’t go to a store and pick-up a copy of one of these games this year, then they didn’t make the cut (looking at you Gloomhaven). We did count new editions of games, but we had to skip releases that were expansion packs to existing games – hey, we had to draw the line somewhere. With that said, let’s dive in!

Aristeia! – Corvus Belli

Clank! In! Space! – Renegade Games Studio

Dice Forge – Asmodee

Twilight Imperium 4th Edition – Fantasy Flight Games

Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire – Games Workshop

That’s our list for the Best Board Games of 2017.  There were so many out there that just didn’t make the cut from Bob Ross: Art of Chill, The Tomb of Annihilation, Magic Maze, Betrayal at Baldur’s Gate, to a TON More. And don’t get us started on Card Game/Board Game hybrids…oh man.

2017 had some great Board Games – which ones were your favorite?
