“Battletome: Maggotkin of Nurgle is your guide to collecting and playing with a Nurgle army.”

“With expanded and updated rules for the Rotbringers – Nurgle’s most dedicated mortal servants – as well as the Daemons of Nurgle, you’ll be able to build a powerful, thematic collection dedicated to the God of Plagues.”

The Lord of Blights will be joining the ranks of the Rotbringers and he is adding some much needed ranged support – in the form of severed heads!

Combining this attack with the Baldes of Putrefaction will lead to an unhealthy amount of mortal wounds you’re forces will generate:

It’s worth noting that GW is hinting that the Blightkings are getting a points reduction in the book as well. Get ready to field them as the core in your Rotbringers army!

If you’re more on the Chaos Daemons side of the house, don’t worry – you’re getting some cool new toys, too. We saw yesterday the new Great Unclean Trio coming your way. Now we’re getting a preview of the stats of the Great Daemons.

The Doomsday Bell is a new option that is going to allow Nurgle units to get an additional 3″ of movement! That could prove to be very effective in combating their lack of speedy options. On top of that, we also know there will be a new Great Unclean One-type character named Rotigus on the way. Rotigus will be able to dish out the mortal wounds in droves:

One of the nastiest new artifacts coming with this book is the very deadly Eye of Nurgle. With this piece of wargear even the mightiest champion on the battlefield can be slain in an instant:

OUCH! Are you feeling lucky? I wonder if Chaos players will have a way to manipulate those odds…

The Armies of the Plague-Father march to war! I hope your up-to-date on your shots…
