40K: AdMech Fans – This New Video Game is for You

Kasedo Games latest lets you taken on the role of a Magos of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

40k fans have been able to command several different chapters of Space Marines, hordes of Orks, T’au soldiers, and the Eldar elite in video games over the years. Now it’s time for a new force to take the spotlight. Ad Mech fans will want to dive into this new title from Kasedo Games!

Take control of one of the most technologically advanced armies in the Imperium – The Adeptus Mechanicus. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, you’ll lead the expedition on the newly rediscovered planet of Silva Tenebris. Manage resources, discover long-forgotten tech, plan tactical operations using the Noosphere technology and control your Tech-Priests every move. Your every decision will shape the missions ahead and ultimately decide the fate of the troops under your command. However, choose your path carefully – the Imperium depends on it.

In this turn based tactical game players will be able to augment their characters with classic Ad Mech gear in hundreds of combinations, and use the tools of the Noosphere to hunt down their enemies. The narrative for this was written by Black Library author Ben Counter – it’s bound to be a great story for players to work through. There will be a lot to explore.

It will be available on Steam for PC, Mac & Linux late this year. Learn more – and it to to your Steam wishlist – here.

Alright, AdMech fans, are you excited for this?

    At least it’s not a phone app…

  • Gamecock13

Another opportunity for a half-baked 40K game. Thanks again for the waste that was DoWIII

    • Kabal1te

I intend to give this a chance to be something until it proves otherwise.

    • orionburn III

So bash the game before we see any actual gameplay shots? Okey dokey then…

      • Xodis

While true, GW doesnt have a very good track record with Video games. A few hits amung the countless garbage.

        • briandavion

I think a game like this though has potential. the best 40k games to daye have been ones that clearly cared for the background, but where also modest about what they where attempting to do

          • Xodis

Oh Ill still give it a shot, even if I dont play actual 40K anymore. Plus I love me some turn based combat.

        • orionburn III

There aren’t many I’ve been into as I’m not a big video gamer. The ones I’ve played haven’t been perfect but they’re enjoyable enough. I’ll at least give the game a chance.

          • Xodis

Oh I will, and Im sure this guy will too if he bothered to come here to comment. Still I keep low expectations that way its easier for GW to please.
The original Dawn of War is still their greatest achievement, and the Total War: Warhammer series is great as well. I enjoy Space Marine, just wished they would make that sequel.

          • orionburn III

lol…I know what you mean. Lately the only video game I play is the mobile Battlefleet Gothic as it’s a pretty damn good copy of the table top game. Nothing thrilling, but let’s me get my BFG fix. AI could certainly be better but for a few bucks I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of it.

I liked SM as well. There was a lot more they could have done with it, but I know, beggersr can’t be choosers at times. Hopefully we get a sequel at some point.

    Iz gunna shmarsh dat machine!

    • Wampasaurus

Hey yer git we ought ta steal dat fing an br’n it ta ‘da boss instead! Iz got ta be wurf sum teef!

      • euansmith

“Lord Magos, bad news on the Omnissiah; it’s been looted!”

  • Vanders

Still waiting for my dream Imperial Guard TPS/FPS, Space Marine 2, and Fire Warrior 2.

    • Dan

an IG FPS would kind of clash with fluff, theyre not supposed to be one-man armies like FPS generally force you to be.

That said if they got creative with it, made it Like Brothers in Arms or Ghost Recon or otherwise integrated a tactical element where you control a whole squad and need everybody to fight as a group THAT would be great.

      • Vanders

I don’t want a one man army FPS – those don’t interest me. I want a battlefield full of fellow soldiers and to be on the frontline.

  • orionburn III

Love me some turn based games. Looking forward to finding out more on this.

  • Jonathon Runge

On the subject of 40K video games; if a second Space Marine is made it would be nice to follow a Blood Angel falling to the black rage. The final boss fight is the hallucinatory fight against Horus as Sanguinius.

    • briandavion

thats a better idea then the actul plot line for the sequals that I’d heard

      • Jonathon Runge

I want each game to explore a different chapter.

        • briandavion

yeah apparently the plan was for space marine to be a trilogy with tuitus going rogue in aprt 2 and founding his own chapter in part 3. which just sounds like bad fan fiction. your idea sounds waaaaaaaay cooler

  • Those devs made Crowntakers it seems, which was pretty decent iirc.

  • SilentPony

Well maybe. Firewarrior isn’t for Tau fans. I want to see some gameplay first.

  • briandavion

Anyway remember the old 90s PC game “Syndicate wars”?

  • Rasheed Jones

    I do need cyberdongs..

  • Timotheus

Oh my…this game might gonna be crap. But this trailer somehow visualises to me again that a (quality) movie franchise of Wh40k would be freaking awesome….

  • Bran D

All I could think about was Jigsaw “I want to play a game.”

  • Tom Koschka

I would be more excited if i were sure this game will be released somewhere in this millenium… (the waiting for inquisitor martyr has left me…. ehm… unsatisfied?) [and no, i am not willing to pay for a game which is not done yet)]

  • William Crouse
  • loveone789

was excited until I saw it was turnbased

  • Severius_Tolluck

By the description, as I can not watch videos, sounds like Heart of Iron with a 40k skin?

    • Orblivion

It’s turn-based combat but the Steam page mentions customizing your squad, so I’m thinking it might be closer to XCOM.
