Warhammer Fest 2018 Coming In May

It’s the ultimate celebration for all things Warhammer! Mark your calendars and make plans now…

Get ready for the ultimate celebration of the world’s greatest hobby – this year’s Warhammer Fest is going to be bigger and better than ever. With tournaments, tutorials, a range of tickets and a few big reveals planned, you won’t want to miss it. Make sure to get your tickets on Monday from the Games Worskhop website (if you’re in the UK) and Forge World (if you’re from somewhere else!)…

Warhammer Fest is always a good showing for Warhammer fans. You’ll get to be the first to see what’s up coming from all your favorite games, get in some fun demos, seminars, and you can even enter into the Golden Demon and Grand Clash events!

Now, we still don’t have a full line-up of all the events that are going down at Warhammer Fest 2018 but we’re sure Games Workshop will update the calendar when they are ready. But if it’s anything like last year’s Warhammer Fest, it should be well worth your time!

Tickets for the event are going up for sale on Monday, February 12th – so if you want in, you might want to set an alarm. These things tend to go pretty quick! If you do get to go, I highly recommend visiting the Warhammer World Exhibition Center. It’s pretty mindblowing and well worth the price of admission.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Are you going to make the pilgrimage to Warhammer Fest 2018?

  • Son_of_Corax_XIX

You do realize that Fest isn’t at Warhammer World right! Its at the Ricoh arena in Coventry which is another count so you cant visit the exhibition center.
    Well reported as usual

    • Aura1

True, but if anybody is travelling from another country to visit the UK, it’s about an hours drive from Coventry to Nottingham or 1 1/2hrs on the train, which isn’t a huge time commitment if you’ve travelled across the globe for one Games Workshop event.

      • Son_of_Corax_XIX

That’s not the point, they are disseminating false information plus to go in you then have to pay another £7 on top of your Fest ticket.
Not hard to actually read what Warhammer world posted regarding Fest, its like they can’t even copy and paste properly here.

        • Aura1

Maybe I’m reading it more charitably than you but it seems to just be a tacked on suggestion to the (primarily) US based fan base here on BoLS that the Exhibition centre is a good thing to go to as well and worth the admission price? If you’re reading it as the article saying you get that included in the Fest ticket then I can see the issue but I don’t see the clause stating that.

          • Son_of_Corax_XIX

But it’s not stated that way as the article is about the event and is saying if you go to the event you also get to go here, which isn’t the case. So it’s a useless point to begin with as most fans from abroad who come don’t drive from experience as I always meet loads of them there so have no way of getting there.
Your suggestion would hold water if it stated that they were in two separate places but they don’t implying they are at the same venue.
As I said before it’s a poorly written misleading article to the usual high standards we expect here

          • Aura1

Does it actually state that? I’m really not seeing ‘if you go to the Fest you’ll also get inclusive entry to Warhammer exhibition so be sure to go to both.’

          • Son_of_Corax_XIX

The article implies that they are in the same location by stating if you go to Fest the author suggests going to exhibition hall. By even saying that he’s making people believe they are in the same place.
You can defend lazy inaccurate writing all you want that’s designed to mislead people but it doesn’t change that it’s exactly what it is.
If I was wrong in my statement about this and you were in anyway right I’d expect you to get some upvotes or backing, yet I see neither but plenty for me pointing out the idiotic point made by the author

      • Yea… 1 1/2 hours and 80 pounds for the train ticket. Or something like that. Not really “worth the admission”. At least I wouldn’t use these words.

        • Aura1

£20 return but I guess that’s going to upset you either way.

          • It’s not about being upset. It’s about a simple error in an article.

          • Son_of_Corax_XIX

I’m sure Aura1 is a BoLs lacky trying to save face

  • Talos2

I don’t think Warhammer fest has sold out beforehand either year, it’s a big arena, there no lack of space like at other events. The tournament part obviously will, but the main bit probably wont

    • Son_of_Corax_XIX

You are correct for the most part, Sunday if any sells out due to the Golden Daemon

      • Talos2

I always go to that day, both times they were selling tickets to the guy in front

  • lordofexcess

I wish GW ran Gamesday events in the US like the used to (well on the west coast anyway).

    • Since GW of late turned upside down and went from craptastic to awesome when it comes to handling the requests of their fanbase, I won’t be shocked to see it return. Looks like it does return to Germany for example. Which was not existent for a few years either.

      • Son_of_Corax_XIX

They do have a massive HQ in Germany to organise one.
America is a funny market for them, with a strange clientele. Hence being sued for a monopoly on a game they created hahaha

I might be a loser and go on my own
