Get in touch with your inner Piet Mondrian and design a masterpiece to call your own.

De Stijl (Pronounced and Translated as “The Style” from Dutch) is a simple and abstract tile laying and sort of area control game.

On each players turn, they will add a tile to the art piece in the middle of the board, overlapping only 2 of the smaller squares with the tile they are laying.

The goal of each player is to score the most point by having the most contiguous sections (or “strokes”) of their color. Each stroke grants 1 point to the player but bonus points are scored for whichever player has the largest stroke. The size of the tile deck is adjusted based on the number of players, but the game ends when the tiles run out.

De Stijl is a simple game to learn but the ability to overlap other tiles and the option of laying tiles in any orientation make for a surprising amount of strategic depth.  Playing in about 20 minutes and with the whole game fitting into your pocket, this game is a surefire hit for any coffee table game.

Experience the simple and elegant spirit of the De Stijl movement! Use your artistic eye to create vibrant patterns on the table’s blank canvas, and make your color stand out as the focus of the finished pieces!

With each passing turn, you will add the strokes of your brush to the painting by choosing a card and laying it to overlap a small portion of the piece. As you add cards to the painting, you will masterfully guide its mood. Strategically add, split, and cover sells of color to ensure that yours is the most prominent.

Master “the style,” and make your mark!
