40K: Deathwatch FAQ Is Now Available

The Xenos-Hunting Space Marine Black-ops just got a new FAQ. Deathwatch fans, come see what’s new and what rules got clarified!

Games Workshop has a brand new Deathwatch FAQ available and it helps to explain a few missing options and how certain rules interact. Take a look:

The Captain in Terminator Armor had a few weapon options missing – well they are back now!

Same with Intercessors. Theres that missing auxiliary grenade launcher. Leave it to the Primaris Marines to leave their weapons in the errata…

The next two things we wanted to cover because they helped to clarify some wonky rules interactions:

The key take-away here is that having “the benefit of cover” is not always the same as actually being “in cover.” It’s subtle but it has an impact on which option you’ll want to use when attempting to wound a target like a Tyranid from Hive Fleet Jormungandr. That’s not the only ability in the game that does it but it’s certainly an important one to note for an army of Anti-Xenos Marines…

Well there’s your answer for that. The Xenophase blade still works on those types of rules because the intent of the rules were to prevent you from re-rolling unsuccessful saves. Score one for the Rules As Intended vs Rules As Written players.
