Blood Angels fighting Orks, a classic scene of violence in the grim darkness of the far future, brought to the modern world courtesy of legos, the truly universal building block.

Got a fantastic lego display for you today–Blood Angels, complete with a Predator, Land Raider, and Land Speeder, vs. a mob of Orks who have taken up residence in some lovingly recreated Gothic Ruins and converted it into a Waaaaaaagh!!! fort.

And I thought seeing the Leman Russ was cool–I love the detail of the predator and you can see the Land Speeder tucked away in the back there.

But the best detail is the handmade WAAGH!! sign and the little banner with the Ork emblem painted on it. There’s a bucket of Teef out front, since that’s where they go to trade teef for guns. Truly they have captured the Orky spirit.

Speaking of Orky Spirit–how about a Killa Kan? He seems to have already vanquished a Blood Angel. Or, maybe it’s more likely that the Blood Angel simply got tuckered out from trying to chainsword it to death and decided to take a nap.

Here’s another shot of the Landspeeder, and you can see more Ork Bikes–the battlefield is pretty astounding.

I am very curious to see how that Land Raider was built–it looks almost exactly like the real thing. Same with that Killa Kan–the work on this display is utterly fantastic. Probably about as much plastic in either diorama. If you spot more 40K in the Lego-verse feel free and drop them in the comments below.

The real question though is: Which do you think takes more time – building this display out of Legos, or to build and paint everything out of the original GW models?
