Mystics are getting a new Sourcebook for Star Wars: Force And Destiny with the arrival of Unlimited Power. On top of three new Mystic specializations Fantasy Flight Games is introducing three more races as well. Come meet the Thisspiasian, the Tholotian, and the Vurk!

The Thisspiansians

Thisspiansian are known to be “defiant, passionate and disciplined.” Physically they are 6 meters with serpentine bodies, yet they have a head with a distinctive beard. FFG’s full article mentions that they have four arms yet the art works only shows two.

As a Thisspiansian, players will gain a starting rank in Discipline and they also have a unique method of rest. Instead of sleeping, they enter a trance-like state and only need two hours of this ‘meditation’ to equal a full night’s rest.

The Tholothians

Tholothian are the next race covered in the new Sourcebook. With their mostly humanoid appearance (except for the clear tendrils) they easily blend in with most of Imperial Society. In fact, from the oldest days of the Republic, the Tholothians were early to assimilate and adopt the culture. They had close ties to Jedi Temples and were fully integrated in the culture.

That all changed when the Empire took over after the Republic fell. The planet of Tholoth, which used to have lots of non-native life, was quickly ‘purged’ of non-Tholothian Culture by the Imperial censors. This greatly destabilized their way of life.

Players who choose Tholothian as their race will benefit from their social graces with other races thanks to their starting rank in Knowledge (Xenology).

The Vurk

The Vurk From Wookieepedia

The Vurk are described as “a reptilian race with… tall head-crests and dark, bulbous eyes.” They can breath underwater and in the open air. They are known as Galactic Nomads for their frequent relocations.  They mostly prefer warmer, wetter climates but can make due on in the cold.

As Vulk, players will also gain a starting rank in Negotiation due to their frequent interations with the other cultures.

These three new races and a whole lot more will be available when Unlimited Power is released later this year!

Unlimited Power $29.95

The dissolution of the Jedi Order has reopened alternative paths of communing with the Force; no longer bound by strict rules and regulations, the Mystic interacts with the Force in ways that might seem foreign to the Jedi of old. Some have merged their politics with the Force while others imbue artifacts with the power of the Living Force through alchemy. Unlimited Power is a new sourcebook for Mystic characters in the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game, expanding their options from the core rulebook by introducing three new specializations, new species, new equipment, and more.

Players will find everything they need to make a Mystic character in this full-color 96-page handbook, including the Alchemist, Magus, and Prophet specializations as well as new Force powers. Game Masters looking to tie their campaign to the Force will find adventure hooks and tips for integrating Mystic characters into their campaign. The path of a Mystic is one of attunement with the Force; unlock your Mystic’s full potential and discover Unlimited Power in this new sourcebook.
