The Elves of the World-That-Was are having a field day in the first Legendary Lords expansion for Total War: Warhammer II. Come take a look at the Everqueen Alarielle and the Hag-Queen Crone Helleborn.

Which, okay Hag-Queen is kind of a loaded title, especially compared to ‘Everqueen.’ It makes you wonder about the system of governance that made that the acceptable title. Also who names their elven child ‘Crone’–I mean seriously that’s worse than naming your kid doctor.

Also, for a Crone, looking pretty stylish, so there’s that at least, It’s good to be the Queen. Or the Everqueen.

First up, here’s the trailer for the expansion pack.

Throughout the lands of Avelorn, the very presence of Everqueen Alarielle brings great joy and tranquillity to the Elven havens. Yet across the Great Ocean in the dark lands of Naggaroth, something wicked stirs. The Hag-Queen, Crone Hellebron, in a storm of jealous rage, leads forth a murderous army of Dark Elves to extinguish all beauty from the world.

So it is in this time of grave peril that Alarielle will take to the battlefield, for only she can vanquish this darkness and defend Ulthuan from the depredations of the impure.

The Queen & The Crone will be the first Legendary Lords pack released for Total War: Warhammer II, playable in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns. It will introduce a number of new elite units, quest chains, magic items and skill trees, all centred around Queen Alarielle the Radiant and Crone Hellebron.

The Queen and The Crone is due out May 31st, but right now you can pre-order the game while enjoying a 10% discount from SEGA’s approved digital retailers. You can learn more about the pre-order deal here.

Additionally, there’s another new content update coming alongside this release that will add the Norscans to the Mortal Empires campaign, among other yet-to-be-released options. So if you’re campaigning in the world that was, it’s time to get excited.
