Horror director Leigh Whannell delivers a Death Wish inspired tale of murder, revenge, and high tech implants. This looks like high octane insanity – and a lot of fun if you’re into twisted action movies.

Grey Trace, a self described technophobe, lives in a not so distant future where tech is embedded into all parts of day to day life. When tragedy strikes he has a choice to make….

Whannell’s previous movies include Saw and Insidious and The Purge, so he’s no stranger to gore or pushing the limits of his audiences. It looks like he’s managed to make a decent modern day B-movie here, one that has a bit of Cronenberg in it. I’ll be setting aside some time to watch.

Upgrade is in theaters now.
