GW: Rumor Engine – Blades of Biting
We’ve got a new Rumor Engine to keep us all guessing from Games Workshop. Come take a look at this latest teaser and take a swipe at cutting this rumor down to size.
Time for your regular Tuesday brainteaser – can YOU guess what upcoming model this is from?
My first inclination is that this is a Ynnari weapon. Those “gems” could be soul stones inside the blade – it seems to fit the style as well:
Perhaps this is a another Croneblade that has been rediscovered by the Ynnari. It has that Wraithbone-type of organic look to it that would fit very well. Plus the Ynnari are probably in the mix for a new codex after this latest round.
However, they aren’t the only faction to have organic looking weapons. The Tyranids have bio-weapons and what if those gems aren’t soulstones but toxin sacs instead? The Blade certainly has some insectoid-like qualities about it. Maybe it’s Sylvaneth, like Alarielle’s beatle:
What if it’s some even more sinister – like a Daemon of Slaanesh’s weapon. Instead of eating those soulstones like Skittles, it keeps them in the blade to capture the souls of more victims to feed on later…
