It’s a brand new Rumor Engine from Games Workshop and this one is making my skin crawl. Come take a look at the latest tease with a side of Maggots!

How are those maggots Michael? This latest Rumor Engine has me asking some strange questions about what the heck we’re looking at. Where did those bugs come from? Are they falling out or did they get “birthed” by something else? And what poor/nasty creature are they crawling out of? Take look for yourself:

Gross. These maggots seem to have burrowed out of something and appear to be falling downward. Also, we know this model has been painted already which can help us identify parts about the miniature.

The maggots are just a bit of a red herring here. There real model is whatever the heck the top part is we’re looking at:

This creature is has some fleshy parts so we know it’s organic. That rules out quite a few things. We know maggots tend to prefer dead/rotting things and if they burrowed out of this thing, then it’s not hard to picture it being undead or Nurgle-touched. It could also have been hit by some nasty magic to cause it to leak maggots. I don’t want to think about that too hard.

I’m also wondering what type of larva these are for. What if they are for a type of beetle – in which case these would be grubs instead of maggots. They look fairly large and have some mean looking maws as well. I would not want to be the creature they are coming out of.

Don’t Juice Them.

Well internet, I’m going to leave this one to fester for a bit. Let us know your best guesses by clicking the Load Comments tab below and dropping us a line.
