Pathfinder: Plane-Hopping Player’s Guide Released – Secure New Magic Items, Archetypes, And More

2 Minute Read
Sep 30 2018

The latest Player Companion for Pathfinder adds extraplanar origins, backgrounds, magics, and more for players that want to build characters from other planes. No word on other trains or automobiles though. Check out the planar rift gunslinger and more!

The Plane-Hopper’s Handbook, which we’ve previously discussed on Bell of Lost Souls, is now out. You can grab a print copy or a .pdf, just follow the link below. I’m interested to see how this one works out–it’s still very firmly set in Pathfinder 1.0, though it is coming in as we near the end of the playtest . Whether it gives a hint of new rules, or is firmly ensconced in the past, the Plane-Hopping player companion adds a lot of extra planar options to the game, and a few extraplanar options to the game as well. Pathfinder heroes can find new summonable creatures, new magic items, and even a Planar Gunslinger archetype awaiting them. Whether you’re looking to play a character who’s something of a plane-hopper (definitely not someone who walks between the planes), or someone with just a little touch of planar magic lurking in your background–say from a racial feat or a background feature–you’ll find new options right here.

Add Another Dimension!

Step beyond reality as we know it! Pathfinder Player Companion: Plane-Hopper’s Handbook offers new tools for explorers brave enough to venture into the unknown—whether to abandoned cities created by dead gods, worlds where the ground is made of forsaken souls, or even stranger realms. Add planar allies, magic, or heritage to your adventures and infuse them with the power of the planes!

Inside this book you’ll find:

  • Five new eidolon subtypes for the unchained summoner, including dualistic aeons, radiant eidolons from the Positive Energy Plane, and ever-shifting storykin eidolons!
  • Alternate racial traits, favored class bonuses, and racial feats for races with origins tied to the Great Beyond, such as aphorites, duskwalkers, and ganzis!
  • Player options and equipment for characters who walk the planes, from hellish style feats to spell-enhancing planar shards to the planar rifter gunslinger archetype!

This Pathfinder Player Companion is intended for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and the Pathfinder campaign setting, but it can easily be incorporated into any fantasy world.

Happy Adventuring!
