Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s comedy about vampires having a hard time adjusting to modern life has been translated into a series for FX. After a series of hilarious teasers we are finally getting full trailer for new series.

Clement and Waititi are producing, and they directed the pilot episode – not sure if they’ll make guest appearances as Vladislav and Viago just yet. That episode was screened exclusively at last year’s New York Comic-Con for a select few under embargo – the limited word that came out was that the pair have been able to recreate the magic of the movie.

I’m really looking forward to this. The movie was great, and the previews so far have been brilliant and funny.

The series stars Matt Berry (The IT Crowd), Kayvan Novak (Facejacker), Natasia Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats), Harvey Guillen (The Magicians), and Mark Proksch (The Office). More on the new show and its stars from RT:

Much like the movie, the series follows three vampires who live together: Laszlo (Berry), Nadja (Demetriou), and Nandor (Novak) — the former two are husband and wife. Also living with them is a fourth vampire named Colin Robinson (Proksch), who’s an “energy vampire.” Instead of blood, he sucks the energy out of his victims by boring them to death with mundane anecdotes and bad jokes. The office is his feeding ground, but his powers also work on his vampire roomies. The main action is put into motion when our central three vampires receive notice that an ancient leader vampire named the Baron is coming to pay them a visit from abroad, purportedly to see how conquering America is going.

What We Do in the Shadows premiers March 27th on FX.
